Part 1: Survey Questionnaire
This research study is a mixed-methods research study designed to capture both trends and deeper insights from participants. The first phase is a survey that gathers quantitative and descriptive information about your perspectives. Scroll down to participate!
Objectives of the Study

Describe the enrollment process of registering as a MassHealth provider, identifying facilitators, barriers, and opportunities for improvement

Assess satisfaction of key program characteristics, including reimbursement rates and covered services

Understand work experiences to capture benefits and challenges in daily practice
Who can participate?
The study is open to individuals who meet the following criteria:
1. Registered as a MassHealth doula provider
2. Have worked with at least one MassHealth client
3. Speak English
4. Are 18 years of age or older
What will I be asked to do?
Complete a 15 minute online survey about the enrollment process, reimbursement, and your work experience as a doula.
Will my answers be confidential?
Yes! Efforts will be made to keep your personal information confidential. All personally identifiable information will be dissociated from your survey responses. You will not be personally identified in any publications or presentations resulting from this study.
Why should I participate?
​Participating in this study is an opportunity to make your voice heard and shape the future of doula work in Massachusetts. By sharing your perspectives, you’ll directly contribute to growing research on the experiences, needs, and perspectives of doulas. Your insights can help inform state policy and strengthen program practices, ultimately improving the support systems and work conditions for doulas across the Commonwealth.
